To celebrate the August 3rd #SaveShenmueHD Tweetathon, we're excited to announce a new contest that will run from now until the next Tweetathon on September 3rd.

The Mirror, Mirror Contest offers the chance to win a detailed, ready-to-paint model of Shenmue's enigmatic Phoenix Mirror, as seen in the video above.

To enter, we want you to design your own Shenmue-style mirror featuring any creature except for those we've already seen in the games (namely, the Dragon and the aforementioned Phoenix).

Your picture must be hand drawn or painted, with a photograph or scanned copy sent to teamyuneedsyou@gmail.com no later than September 3rd, 2016.

On September 4th a prize draw between the best entries will be held, and the winner announced on our @TeamYu Twitter account. If the Shenmue Heart of Gold campaign has passed a donations total of $500 by the contest deadline, the prize draw will take place between those judged the best three entries. Otherwise, only the top two will enter the draw.

Thank you to Jules Weiss of Game Rooms Rising for supplying the lovely prize, and good luck to everyone who gives it a go. We can't wait to see your artistic designs!

Please join us in congratulating Stuart Peacock, whose ferocious White Tiger design for an alternative Shenmue-style mirror scores him top honors in the Mirror, Mirror Contest!

We especially liked the attention to detail in the tiger's markings and the authentic touches around the main figure. That boxed Phoenix Mirror sculpture will now be winging its way to you, Stuart!

Thank you so much to everyone who put in the effort to enter a drawing or painting. There are some highly creative fans amongst you, and we'll leave it up to you to now share your top secret work if you wish.

Thanks again also to Jules Weiss for donating the beautifully made prize. Check out @GameRoomsRising on Twitter for eBay links if you're interested in buying your own sculpture.
